Chun-li Sitting

    So since Zen's currently out of commission I'll be posting some of my old works. I hope I can post all my past works until the most recent one, please look forward to it and be patient lol. To start the year I'm sharing my old contest entry for 2014. So this kit is of Chun-li from street fighter not really much of a fighting game player but she's iconic enough for me to like, and this loli form of her is just too cute. 

  

    So this kit is a re-cast from E2046 but it seems the product page has been taken down as of writing this post. After some digging around from the internet I've found the original sculptor of the figure. It's by Ton-san of Amehare(「雨の日晴の日」のトンさん).

    So regarding the build of this kit, this has been my first time painting anything in candy colors. And after this kit I've fallen in love with how it looks! Look forward to future posts I got 3 more figures painted in candy colors. I also love how the see thru panty hose turned out. As for the pictures these were taken way back in 2014 and damn do they suck, please bear with them as I currently don't have it on hand to retake some pictures and generally I suck at taking pictures.

Kaga [Kancolle][013ZENGK]

Sculpted by Deira and Distributed by Sasaki Workshops we have this lovely Kaga figure from Kancolle.

Unfortunately I can't take anymore additional pictures of this work because she has been shipped off to her owner back in 2018.

We're featuring another Bargain bin Garage kit i got at the same Japanese surplus shop as the Morrigan kit. I Made them both simultaneously back in 2017. 

I got this one for just around 3 Dollars. 

This was actually the first time I made a garage kit that's not a recast from E2046 and the material felt really different.

Morrigan Aesland [Dark Stalkers][011ZENGK]

We're going Chibi this time with Morrigan from Dark Stalkers.

This kit is from Pocket fighters where capcom characters fight in chibi style whiles changing outfits at every hit.

I fount this at a japanese surplus shop and I couldn't find anything about it online. It's basically Morrigan Dressed up as Sakura from Street fighter.
Built and finished her in 2017.

Really liked working on this one and I have WIP photos too which I will try to post later on.

Today we're looking at my worst work... Yep my worse work!

Unfortunately the character to hit my worst moments is the beautiful interdimensional idol Lynn Minmay.

I'm not entirely sure of the sculptor or the circle of this garage kit but there's a PVC figure of it by CM's Corporation so this could be a PVC turned Garage kit line from e2046.

Lets go back to 2012 and check out Lin Xiao Mei from Shining Hearts.

This Garage kit is one I entered into a contest on E2046 and didn't win of course. 

This was designed by one of my fave artists Tony Taka and sculpted by G.O. from Cerberus Project. Recasted by E2046.

Hakurei Reimu [Touhou][005SZENGK]

This time we're looking probably one of my least favorite works. Finished in 2012 this Reimu Garage kit is a recast by E2046 from their AntiHero Line where they take mass produced PVC figure and turn them into garage kits. 

This figure is sculpted by Kitutehu and the original PVC version is produced by Gift.

Celty Sturluson [Durarara!!][004ZENGK]

4th Garage kit in my arsenal is the very sexy Celty Sturluson.

Sculpted and produced by Rasetsu Nakobakaya and recasted by E2046.

One of my favorite Garage kits to work on because it's divided into only a few pieces and it was easy to put together.

This is a recast by E2046 and was fairly a good recast. I get most of my garage kits from E2046 cuz most of em are no longer available in the market and the ones that are available are super expensive.

Like most artist I kinda cringe at my first few horrible kits, but we all gotta start somewhere right?

Scheris from s-CRY-ed a sort of obscure anime from the very early 2000. And from what I know this particular sculpt is base off an adult cosplayer photo shoot of the character. so yeah.

Medea (Caster) [Fate Series / Typemoon] [017ZENGK]

First Trace on Thursday features my dearest waifu Caster Medea from Fate Stay Night!

She's been my primary waifu for the past 11 years now I believe. We have a super long history. 

Unfortunately unlike a certain Main character, Medea is a side character who barely has any merchandise so back then I went further than most when searching for merchandise of my waifu.

This is how I purchased my first ever Garage Kit. This isn't my First Garage kit mind you. I still haven't built my first Garage kit since it's quite complicated and I have GRAND plans for it. It's not gonna be built any time soon since I'm still gaining much needed experience.

    To kick start my post, I'll be posting higher resolution versions of my previous contest entry for 2012 (link https://www.e2046.com/contest/2012/preview/2148).

Full resolution version will be posted later in the gallery page in contrast with Zen's posting method, for now settle with the resized version of blogger.

    Its been almost 8 years since I've completed this Garage Kit, can't say much about the building process aside from the ones stated in the contest page. This kit is a recast and unfortunately I don't know who the original sculptor is. Here is a link of where I got it if your interested in getting your own(https://www.e2046.com/p/12023/).      Looking back at these pictures I think I still did a decent job, however the skin shading still needs some improvements. Can't seem to remember if I was still using a single action airbrush for this kit... Painting eyes also need some improvements, and comparing this kit with my latest work I can say  I've improved in that aspect. you'll have to stay tuned to see my latest work and oh it will be another contest entry. I think that's enough ranting and on with the pictures.

E2046 Yearly Contest!

So yeah the blog has been silent for quite a while now. Both Zen and I were busy finishing a Garage kit for a contest organized by an online Garage kit shop named www.e2046.com . And 1 rule of the contest says that we can publish any pictures not until the contest is finished, to even out or to avoid favoritism even before the contest begins.

Melissa Seraphy WIP Part 2

So I'm back! Time to write the continuation of this WIP. And this time around I'll be talking about the painting process, the most exciting part of scale modelling!

Lets get started!

After priming and painting all the parts in flat white (to have a neutral/white canvas) I've decided to first paint the flesh tone, so I first paint the parts where I think the shadows would show, with clear orange.

Then I paint the flesh tone and avoided painting over the "shadows" instead I sprayed light mist to blend the clear orange with the flesh tone.

Melissa Seraphy WIP Part 1

Finally I got some motivation to write this Work in Progress (WIP). So the kit I'm currently doing is Melissa Seraphy from Wagamama Capriccio. Here is a picture of her PVC version.

But what I'll be doing is a Garage kit version which is basically the same sculpt from the PVC version, aside from some parts namely a missing stray hair which you can see in the PVC version, and the wings are reversed (the inner wing is the outer in comparison with the PVC version). And to give the kit a bit more uniqueness I planned to make the eyes and mouth of the pumpkin transparent and attach a LED mod inside.
