Up next is some Gundam Goodness, the Shining Gundam from G Gundam. G Gundam is one of my favorite Gundam Series Zen is also a fan of the series, we both love the hot blooded passion of Domon Kashu! And my favorite Gundam from the series is the God Gundam (Burning Gundam to those in the USA), but the Shining Gundam has a special place in my heart too. Its also a favorite unit of mine when playing SRW games.
About this kit this is from Bandai under the 1/144 scale HGFC line. This kit was given to me as a gift by a friend of mine, we have a tradition between 3 of us. Each year one of us would be in charge of picking a theme then selecting 2 or 3 kits (depends on the person in charge if he wants one for himself). I think the theme for this certain year was hot blooded Gundams? I forgot the other one if it was the Try Burning Gundam or the Kamiki Burning Gundam. The receivers would then do some random selection by drawing lots or ghost ladders to see which kit he gets.
As for the build of this kit, this is just a simple out of the box painted kit and was completed way back in 2016. This kit was also the first time when I used all hobby grade lacquer paints (gaia notes been using the brand since then). If I recall correctly the difficult parts in building this kit was the seam removal and masking of several parts mainly the shoulder armor, the red part of the torso, the white and gray vents of the backpack, and the red and blue side calf armor. Despite being painted using lacquer based paint, there are a few paint chipping here and there most due to posing the kit. That's about it, enjoy the pictures!
